FAQ

Working with us: the practical questions

How the audit works, who owns what, how reporting works and what happens if you leave. For questions about PPC itself, such as budgets, timescales and ROAS, see the guides and the answers on the home page.

Getting started

What happens after I request an audit?

We reply within one working day to arrange read-only access to your accounts, or to ask a few questions if you are not advertising yet. The written audit follows, with what we would change and a fixed quote if you want one.

What do you need from me to start?

Access to your ad accounts, GA4 and website (or someone who can make changes to it), your goals and what a customer is worth, and a short weekly note on lead quality once campaigns run.

How long does setup take?

It depends on what the audit finds. Fixing tracking and restructuring an existing account usually comes first; new campaigns go live once tracking can measure them properly.

Can you take over from another agency?

Yes. We audit the account first, keep what is working, and pause rather than delete anything we replace, so the history is kept.

Accounts and access

Who owns the ad accounts?

You do. Accounts are created in your name, or stay in your name if you already have them, and we are added as managers through our own manager account.

Who pays for the ads?

You pay the platforms directly with your own payment details, so you always see exactly what was spent on media, separately from our management fee.

What happens if we stop working together?

You keep everything: the ad accounts and their history, the tracking setup, the landing pages we built for you and every report. We remove our access when you ask.

Working together

How often will we speak?

As often as is useful: a call to go through each monthly report, and email or a call whenever something needs a decision. You deal with the person running your account.

What is in the monthly report?

Your main measure against target, spend and results by campaign, what changed and why, what the changes did, and what happens next month, in plain English.

Do you need to approve changes with us?

Routine optimisation, such as negative keywords, bids and ad tests, happens without asking. Anything that changes the strategy, the budget or the pages we agree with you first.

What industries do you not work with?

Anything Google or Meta's policies prohibit, and anything we could not advertise honestly. If your business is restricted rather than prohibited, such as healthcare or financial services, we check the verification and certification requirements first.

Audits, budgets and timescales

Do you offer PPC audits?

Yes, free. We review your account, tracking, landing pages and the competition, and send a written summary of what we would change and why. You keep it whether or not you work with us.

Do you manage landing pages?

Yes. We build and test landing pages for paid campaigns, and because the team behind this site also builds websites, we change the page rather than only recommending changes.

Do I need a large advertising budget?

No, but the budget has to be large enough to learn from. A small budget focused on one service in one area often works better than a larger one spread across everything.

How long does it take to optimise a campaign?

Optimisation never really finishes, but most of the early gains, such as removing wasted search terms, fixing tracking and improving landing pages, come in the first two to three months.

Stop guessing. Start scaling.

Find out where your paid advertising is losing money and where the next profitable campaign is hiding. The audit is free and you keep it whatever you decide.
