Case studies

Real projects, real figures, nothing dressed up

These nine projects were all built by Webso Digital, the team that runs Bristol PPC Agency. They are websites and SEO work, not Google Ads campaigns, and we say so on every one. We show them because the landing page is where paid traffic converts or leaks away, and because every figure here is real and published. Google Ads case studies will be added as clients agree to share their account figures.

  1. 01New website and local SEOChester, Cheshire and the Wirral

Chester Tuning: From no website to position 4.5 for the main money search in six weeks

    The starting point

A mobile ECU remapping business with more than 500 vehicles remapped and a 96% Facebook rating, but no website at all, so template-site competitors took the Google searches.

    What was done

    • A new site built from scratch in Next.js, live on 22 July 2026, with service pages carrying prices, guides and the owner's own job photographs.
    • Month-two changes driven by Search Console data: eighteen titles rewritten, a town page that competed with the homepage redirected into it, and a new page for a town with clear demand and no competition.
    • Real Search Console figures published with the client's permission, including what had not worked.

What it means for paid traffic

The main money search reached position 4.5 organically and still produced no clicks, because the map pack above it was won by competitors with 235 and 66 Google reviews against seven. For a local business that is exactly the gap paid search and Local Services Ads can fill while reviews build.

KP Tuning: From 65 to 96 on Google's PageSpeed test after the rebuild

    The starting point

A mobile remapper's site built as a grid of five services across seven towns. Once place names were masked, 24 of those pages were 80 to 95 per cent identical. Ten pages had been crawled and left out of Google's index, including the main services page, and the homepage took 11 seconds to show anything on a phone.

    What was done

    • Rebuilt in Next.js, with speed on a phone as the first requirement: Webso Digital published the PageSpeed score moving from 65 to 96 after taking the site on.

What it means for paid traffic

An 11-second landing page loses most paid visitors before they read anything, and landing page experience is one of the three components of Google Ads Quality Score. Speed is the first thing we check on any page that ads point to.

  3. 03Website rebuildChester and Mid Wales

Duffield Removals: A family removals firm with 148 reviews and a website working against it

    The starting point

A removals and storage firm with vans in Chester and Mid Wales and 148 Google reviews, on an old WordPress theme. Half the pages in its sitemap were theme scaffolding, two contact pages split the searches for its own name, and its terms were a PDF that Google ranked in place of a real page.

    What was done

    • Rebuilt in Next.js. The live site now has a single contact page beside a separate free quote page, and its terms as a normal web page rather than a PDF.

What it means for paid traffic

Two pages competing for the same brand search is the organic version of a common ad account fault: several campaigns bidding on the same terms and splitting the data. One page, or one campaign, per job.

  4. 04New websiteConnah's Quay, Deeside

Nick Auto Detailing: 51 reviews at 4.9 stars, a profile hiding the phone number, and no website

    The starting point

A detailing studio with 51 Google reviews at 4.9 and no website. Everything ran through Facebook and a Google profile that hid its phone number, showed the wrong opening hours, had no website link and described a business that travelled across the whole UK.

    What was done

    • A first website built from scratch in Next.js, with a page per service, a prices page and the areas the studio really covers.

What it means for paid traffic

A Google Business Profile also feeds location assets and calls into Google Ads, so wrong hours or a hidden number cost leads from ads as well as from the map. It is one of the first things we check for any local advertiser.

  5. 05New brand and websiteChester and Flintshire

Skip Up: A new skip hire firm launched with its prices on the page

    The starting point

A new skip hire business launching from its own yard at Mickle Trafford against established operators, with no brand and no website, in an industry where quoted prices often grow by the time the skip arrives.

    What was done

    • A brand and website built from nothing, in Next.js.
    • Prices stated up front, including in the page title Google shows, as the plainest answer to the industry's trust problem.

What it means for paid traffic

Price on the page is one of the strongest trust signals for paid traffic, and a price in the ad or on the landing page filters out clicks from people who would never have booked. For businesses that can publish prices, it is one of the cheapest conversion rate improvements available.

  6. 06Website rebuild in a regulated sectorSofia, Plovdiv and Burgas, Bulgaria

PAS Credit: A licensed lender's site rebuilt inside strict advertising rules

    The starting point

A licensed consumer lender with eight branches, whose website had broken and stayed broken, in a category where trust is hard to earn online. Under the Bulgarian Consumer Credit Act a single figure cannot be shown without the full APR and a representative example beside it, which rules out the pricing tables competitors lead with.

    What was done

    • A rebuilt site in Next.js, built under the rule that any credit figure shown needs the full APR and a representative example beside it.

What it means for paid traffic

Regulated sectors change what an ad and its landing page can say. In the UK, financial services advertisers need Google's financial services verification, which requires FCA authorisation or an exemption, before their ads can run. We plan the rules in from the start rather than discovering them at disapproval.

  7. 07New brand, website and catalogueWrexham, selling UK-wide

GearMotorsUK: A B2B importer launched with a name, a domain and an English catalogue

    The starting point

A new company bringing a Polish supplier's electric motors, gearboxes, gear motors and inverter drives to UK buyers, with no name, no domain and no English catalogue. The obvious name was already taken by a company on the Companies House register.

    What was done

    • A website built from scratch in Next.js presenting the range to UK buyers in English, under a name that was free to use.

What it means for paid traffic

B2B buyers search by specification and part type, so a structured catalogue is what both search ads and Shopping-style product feeds are built from. A product range that exists only in a supplier's PDF cannot be advertised properly.

Maxima Life: A translation and legalisation agency that had relied on word of mouth

    The starting point

A translation and legalisation agency with no online presence. Potential clients could not find it on Google, and the business relied entirely on word-of-mouth referrals.

    What was done

    • The agency's first website, built to be found for the services it offers.

What it means for paid traffic

For a business with no online presence, paid search can produce enquiries in weeks while organic visibility builds, but only if there is a page worth sending people to. The website comes first.

  9. 09Online store for a music producerUnited Kingdom

SIMVICIOUS: From social media only to a site that sells beats

    The starting point

A music producer who needed a professional online presence to sell beats and show a portfolio, after relying solely on social media.

    What was done

    • A website that showcases the catalogue and sells beats online.

What it means for paid traffic

Selling only through social platforms means renting the audience. An owned store is what makes paid social measurable: Meta's pixel and Conversions API need a site to report sales from.
